Discover Luxembourg
Enter a team on a journey of discovery through Luxembourg City to sample its lush history, rich culture, delicious gastronomy, exciting technology and much more....

DiscoverLuxembourg

The 3rd annual Discover Luxembourg event takes place across Luxembourg city on Saturday 11 September 2010 and promotes the city of Luxembourg in a novel and interesting way. This hugely-successful event is highly-visible and focuses on many of the cultural & historical, technological, commercial and gastronomic aspects of the city and country.

The event is open to teams of four who follow a trail and undergo a series of tasks/challenges at various “stations” across Luxembourg. As last year, there will be two trails: one for adults / corporate / clubs; and one for families which will be shorter in distance and in time.

Last year the trails covered the historical part of the city, the Petrusse Valley, the area around the Avenue de Liberté and ended up in Clausen. In 2008 the finish was at the Abbaye de Neumunster. This year...

The trails will include visits to some well-known and some less well-known venues. Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the most points in both categories, with all team members and event supporters socializing together afterwards.

The first teams leave at 13:00 with others starting off at 2-3 minute intervals.

The event is multi-lingual with clues, instructions, questions, etc., in FR, DE & EN.

Online registration will commence after the Press Conference to announce the event on 19 August 2010.

The event also promotes local charity organisations: the Croix Rouge in 2008 and Luxembourg Air Rescue in 2009 both received 1,000 euro donations. In 2010, the event will support the Luxembourg Alzheimer's Association.
