Summer in the City 2017

The Luxembourg City Tourist Office is pleased to announce highlights of its summer programme ‘Summer in the City 2017’.

The 19th edition of the summer programme in the capital opens this year on Friday June 16 with the ‘Fête de la Musique’. Twenty-two stages will be erected in the city centre, but also, and above all, in the residential areas of the capital, to be closer to the people, to bring the idea of ​​the ‘Fête de la Musique’ to the public. As usual, all kinds of music will be performed.

During the programme ‘Summer in the City 2017’, the city of Luxembourg will vibrate with an extensive programme of open-air concerts, international music festivals, theatre and street arts, open-air shows, exhibitions, markets, folkloric and popular festivals, not to mention a wide array of tourist attractions.

‘Summer in the City’ is a programme aimed at creating synergies between cultural, tourist and institutional organisers of the capital. All events labelled ‘Summer in the City’ are the result of a close and friendly collaboration between various players in the capital and many institutional and private partners. Most events take place in public locations and, with a few exceptions, offer free admission.
